Welcome to
Mrs Ethelston's C E Primary Academy
Mrs Ethelstons offers a high standard of education within a caring and Christian setting. It is important to us that our children leave us as well-rounded, reflective and confident individuals, who achieve their full potential. Children should enjoy school, feeling safe to take on new challenges and experience learning in a variety of ways.
EASTER COMPETITION!
Don't forget to bring in decorated, blown eggs on Monday morning! Please make sure they have names and classes on so that the winners can get their prizes!

We are delighted to inform you that we will be having a Scholastic Book Fair on the 23rd, 24th and 27th of April straight after school from 3:30-4pm. We will be having three cases of books delivered (each one for a different age range) for the children to browse, as well as some stationery too.
Over the Easter holidays, we will be running a competition to see everyone's ' Extreme Read' locations, for the chance to win a £5 voucher for the fair (we have 5 available)!
Books start from as low as £2.99 and are all 3 for the price of 2 (cheapest free). Payment can be made via QR code on the day, or parents can buy a voucher for children in advance if they cannot make it. We also have order forms if any run out!
The best thing is that the more books we are able to sell, the more books we will be able to get for free for out school. It's also a pretty fun way to end the day!
We will send out more information and reminders nearer the time, but we wanted to give you plenty of time to try and win a voucher!

Years 5 and 6 had the most amazing time at Wildwood Escot on Tuesday. They went on foraging walks (tasting things like Sorrel and Nettles), where they also got to see the animals and experience the slide; explored the maze and took part in a range of activities in the Saxon Village. They made bread with wild garlic and rosemary, used a lathe and made a brooch in the forge! Thank you to all of our helpers and the PTFA for support with the coach funding. It really was a great day!

It's that time of the year again when Year 6 hold their coffee morning to raise funds for the Uplyme church and their class. The money they raise for their class will ensure they get to do lots of fun activities during their SATs week, such as tie dying PE kit bags for secondary school. We would greatly love your support, all are welcome! Please do bring cash though as we don't have a card reader. If you have any unwanted smellies or Christmas gifts, we would really appreciate some raffle or tombola prizes please! Thank you!

We began our school year with a wonderful blessing during worship from Reverend Nicky, who wrote in chalk the initials of the Three Wise Men and the new year. We were very impressed how many of the children remembered the names - Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar! Thank you Mrs McLellan for lending us your height!

The willow tunnel has been cut. Jo Williams has worked extremely hard. If anyone wants to make use of some willow it’s by the fence. They may help themselves, donations to PTFA would be appreciated!
